Hello! I am Andrea Baugh. I am a wife to the most amazing supportive husband, Sam. I am the mom to four crazy kids, ages 24, 13, 11, and 9, and 2 giant dogs. I was born and raised in Utah but three and a half years ago moved to the most beautiful place in the world, the Oregon coast. We love it here and all the adventures it has to offer.
I am currently a kindergarten teacher to 25 eager sweet kiddos, who are split into two half-day in-person cohorts because of COVID. This is my third year teaching kindergarten. It started as a long-term sub job that didn’t go away. I have a degree in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Ed and a past certification as an SLPA. When the long-term sub job turned into a full-time job I got another degree in Elementary Ed. I hate doing things partway and need to find a better way to teach my students how to read, which has led me to this degree. Before teaching I was a stay-at-home mom for 9 years, with a side hustle doing some SLPA work. Before being a stay-at-home mom, I ran respite and family support programs for people with disabilities. When I'm not in the classroom I spend my time trying to keep my children (who are stuck doing distance learning), caught up on their school work. But, pre-COVID, when I wasn't in the classroom, I would be taking pictures, hiking, enjoying the beach, and traveling with my family.
